Patch Notes for the Undead Blocks Game Update v1.6.0 - December 31st, 2022

New Features:

• Multiplayer

  • You can now select Duos mode in the game mode screen, allowing you to play multiplayer with another player. Click "Start" after both players have clicked "Ready Up" to start the match.

  • Quick Match: Drop into a new lobby and search for a random teammate! When clicking "Quick Match" we will search for the first open lobby for you to drop into. If no lobby is found, it will create a lobby to allow other people to join. Once in a new lobby by yourself, simply wait for another user to be added to your lobby before clicking "Start"

  • Private Match: Invite your friend to play together! A lobby will be created with an invite code, send the invite code to a friend for them to type into the relevant input box. The code can be copied by clicking the copy icon next to the code in the lobby.

  • Invite Code is used to put the code in to join a private lobby. Remember that codes are case-sensitive!

• New Zombie

  • The Hipster zombie makes his debut! Be prepared for more zombie types to join the ranks of the horde in the future

• New Spawn point

  • Player spawns have been adjusted to be closer to and facing the bus. This will have players directly facing the ammo box on spawn, and there are future plans regarding a better spawn point area for the Neighborhood map.

• All game modes have been re-opened, including the new zombies and features.

Balance Changes:

• Zombie damage, speed, and attack speed have been slightly increased.

  • Note: Zombie parameters will be adjusted again in the near future. We want zombies to be fast, and scary while having players avoid going near them, while also looking to lower the health scale for shorter rounds.

• Deadlier Boss Zombie

  • The Footballer zombie shows he’s the boss. His speed has been increased, and both his passive mode and angered mode have received a massive damage buff.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed an issue causing the pause screen to display when the gun purchase popup is still open in weapon crate

• Fixed an issue causing floating username text with 21:9 screen size

• Fixed an issue causing players to not regenerate health after being hit by a zombie

• Fixed an issue causing no sound to be played at the end of the match

• Fixed an issue causing the player to spawn on top of the bus or inside another player

• Fixed an issue causing guns not to reloading unless the clip is fully depleted

• Fixed an issue causing a zombie can become immortal

• Fixed an issue causing damage numbers to float in the air

• Fixed an issue causing a player to be sent back to the lobby when buying weapons from weapon crate

• Fixed an issue causing Eva to grunt the incorrect jumping sound

• Other minor bug fixes

• Optimization updates

Note: The Undead Blocks team has been hard at work to bring you the multiplayer experience for the new year! Please note that the multiplayer is also part of the beta, and new features will be brought in after this update.
